About the author

Nicola Perullo

He is a philosopher and Full Professor of Aesthetics at UNISG. Having had a passion for gastronomy since his own university days, he joined the organizational committee that ended up developing the University of Gastronomic Sciences in 2002 and has since combined his interest in philosophy, aesthetic, food and wine, teaching courses like “Epistenology”, the idea of knowing with wine and the prospect of constant interconnectedness between ontology, epistemology, and aesthetics.

Aesthetics

Epistenology

Wine that teaches you about more than taste. At UNISG, Epistenology flips the script: wine is not just studied, it becomes a lens to explore who we are. Forget rigid tastings. Think metaphors, music, meditation and bowls instead of glasses. Because knowing wine means knowing yourself.
