About the author

Marcello Marengo

"His professional journey began in the early 1980s with social activism (Arci, Arci Langhe, Arci Gola, Cooperativa I Tarocchi) and education (Unitre, school camps, summer socio-cultural programs with the municipalities of Rome and Bologna). He then moved into promoting the Langhe and Roero territories through hospitality (Osteria del Boccondivino, Osteria dell’Arco) and wine expertise (International Piedmontese Wine Convention, Guida ai Vini d’Italia, Wine Atlas of the Langhe). He became deeply involved with the Slow Food movement, holding roles in its President’s Office, organizing events, and collaborating with Slow Food Editore (the movement’s publishing arm) and its magazine. Over the years, he contributed to projects spearheaded by Carlo Petrini, including the Istituto Storico di Bra and the “Granaries of Memory” oral history archive. Most recently, he has been working in the Marketing & Communications Office of the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenzo."
